Successful real estate brokerage is sustained through a collection of personal relationships, founded on trust and nurtured through genuine care.
I have been fortunate to realize some great accomplishments in my career, yet the most fulfilling and rewarding achievements have been the relationships I have forged with clients who have become good friends.
I would like to highlight one couple who epitomizes this point.
I first met them at an Open House for a new development I was marketing in East Lakeview. I encountered them at a particularly challenging time in my life. I was working to establish my own business, disentangling myself from my primary source of income—my estranged husband, a real estate developer whom I was reluctantly divorcing after a few tumultuous years stemming from the real estate market crash.
I liked them from the moment I met them. We shared an appreciation for fine design and, as I learned over the years, good food and wine, an elegant ambiance, travel, and most importantly, friendship and loyalty.
They purchased the condo I was representing—a unique, high-design space—and hired me to sell their more modest abode down the block. This transaction initiated a series of sales, marking evolving neighborhood, property and lifestyle choices. From a stylish condo in Lakeview, to an elegant townhome in Lincoln Park, to a sophisticated worker’s cottage in Bucktown. Each home carries its own memorable chapter in their personal real estate journey, one where they have turned to me as their advisor and friend. Where we have achieved solid outcomes. And where we have celebrated our friendship, most recently at their magnificent wedding in Paris.
Whatever unfolds next, I am confident our enduring friendship will be at its center.
